Nigerian writer and Performance poet Deen Maina may just be redefining the spoken word atmosphere with his newly released album ‘CONFLICT:ED’ which is a play on words for the state of being in conflict and conflict education.

While the tracks on this powerful body of work were intentionally kept short, it didn’t shy away from deep topics of complexities surrounding Faith, Family, Mental health & Relationship complexes of an average millennial.

The poet can be Heard teleporting through diverse topics throughout the album – from “I can’t be myself with God because he only plays music that demands veneration” on one track to “I know you wish soul searching can be done on Google” on another.

CONFLICT:ED is truly worth checking out and putting on repeat. For Self, For Family, For the clan.

‘Deen at it again. I know him in person, with a mind sharp as a ginsu, always eager and willing to go the extra mile especially giving out his best, this album can only be a masterpiece, a work of art for the hungry mind. I hope other millennials as well as genZers will have time to explore this genre and especially this body of works.
