It's always good to find a place that supports artists of any size, genre or personality set in an excellent venue. Ovyuki is the perfect host who really believes in promoting and growing artists and spreading poetry across the capital. The independent music/arts scene is difficult to navigate these days with promoters often trying to get artists to pay to play and not supporting them. Hidden Literature is different and has given me opportunities to perform and be myself whilst experiencing other great artists who I would never have come across without seeing them here. Furthermore, there is a great I wish there were more organisations like this to nuture the conveyor belt of wonderful artists that keeps the music scene fresh and relevant today.

Runs welcoming, vibrant and inclusive nights, the diversity of work being shared is incredible and the host Ovyuki makes everyone feel welcome. There’s so many different things that they are involved in to cover every age and type of space. As well as getting to see others perform it was a really great night to talk to other spoken word performers & musicians and make connections. We performed at two of her events Chats Palace & GROW Hackney, different spaces but both vibrant nights we enjoyed seeing others too. Thanks!

I've never felt more accommodated in a space before. It was my first time over reading my poetry in public so I was insanely nervous but ovyuki and everyone else made me feel incredibly special! Thank you!

5 years since my last open mic performance and it was comfortable, welcoming, powerful and so much fun. I loved the afternoon and look forward to more. Spacious venue, very well organised and a wonderful mix of creatives.
