Meet our founder
Poet, producer & host – Ovyuki
Hidden Literature was founded by Ovyuki, a London-based poet and spoken word artist with years of experience performing and producing cultural events across the city. From intimate open mics to headline performances for global brands, Ovyuki brings authenticity, warmth and creative rigour to everything she produces.
She has performed at Black History Month events for American Express, produced resident Black History Month programming for Sugar House Island, hosted open mics for Grow Hackney in partnership with Hackney Council, and delivered poetry workshops with Chats Palace as part of the Windrush event series.
We love celebrating Black history with people from all walks of life, and we’ve built our reputation on making those celebrations feel genuine, joyful and unforgettable.
